One of my all time favorite natural ingredients is Organic Virgin Coconut Cream Oil. No matter how many times I use this oil, the delicious scent of fresh coconut captivates my senses every time I open the container. There are a great many synthetic coconut fragrances out there, many of which I enjoy quite a bit, but nothing compares to the natural aroma of Organic Virgin Coconut Cream Oil. If you have never had the pleasure of using this oil, I highly suggest giving it a try. It can be used in its natural state as a hair and body conditioner, or added to a variety of formulations. I particularly enjoy making scrubs and body butters with Organic Virgin Coconut Cream Oil. The oil retains its strong aroma in these kinds of simple formulas, eliminating the need for additional fragrance.
Besides its decedent aroma, Organic Virgin Coconut Cream Oil boasts a variety of other beneficial properties. This light, semi-solid oil is highly moisturizing, yet penetrates the skin quickly. Organic Virgin Coconut Cream is also exceptionally stable. Its high vitamin E content helps make it resistant to oxidation. Organic Virgin Coconut Cream is also useful in soap making. It has natural antiseptic, and anti-fungal properties. Combined with its resistance to oxidation, this oil is an excellent choice for superfatting soap. Unfortunately, the signature aroma of Organic Virgin Coconut Cream is not likely to survive the saponification process. However, synthetic Fragrance Oils, such as Coconut, Coconut Cream, Coconut Lime Verbena, or Thai Coconut, can be used to enhance the olfactory interest of your soap.
