All Natural Jeanie

Jean Lozada has always loved lotions and perfumes.  She even has described herself as a “product junkie”, but after having allergic reactions to commercial products she became a faithful label reader, and began to have doubts about the many products that she loved so dearly.  These doubts inspired Jean to begin researching herbs, essential oils, and other natural alternatives.  She soon began creating her own bath and beauty products and sharing them with her family and co-workers.  In 1998, Jean launched her own company, All Natural Jeanie, and now sells a gorgeous variety of products online.

I met Jean personally through The Natural Beauty Workshop, but she has been a great customer of for years.  I was delighted when she agreed to participate in our customer interview series.

Do you have any other great passions or hobbies (besides natural skincare and entrepreneurship)?

My only real passion is natural skincare.  Everything else pales in comparison.

Is there anyone or anything special that has inspired you?

My husband just retired from the U.S. Army and he is the inspiration behind the G.I. fragrance line.

What are some of your signature products?

My signature product is my roll on perfume.  It is not overpowering, but it has staying power.  It is one of my best sellers.  Women love it and guys love it on them.  Also, my lotions are rich & thick, but what sets my company apart from the rest, in my opinion, is my fragrance blends.  Smitten (Neroli and Vanilla), Intrigue (Sandalwood and Ylang Ylang), and G.I. (Patchouli, Ylang Ylang, Sandalwood, and Vanilla), which is dedicated to service members, are customer favorites.  These fragrances fly off the shelf.

Does your company have a motto or philosophy that you would like to share with us?

Our Motto is:” Have fun doing what you love.”

What inspired you to go into business?

I have always wanted to create my own destiny and live life on my terms, beholden to no one but myself.  Starting my own business has allowed me to fulfill that self created prophecy.

What is the biggest challenge you have faced while seeing your company to where it is today?

The biggest challenge has been staying organized and prioritizing.  This is still a day to day struggle.

Do you have any advice for soap makers, natural skin care enthusiasts or small business owners that are just starting out?

Learn as much as you can about your craft.  Research all aspects of the business.  Try to find someone who is doing what you want to do and see if they will be gracious enough to share their experiences with you.  Starting a business is a lot more in depth than just having a good product or a hook for your product. Be a sponge.  Soak up as much knowledge as you can, and if after doing all of this you feel that it is still something that you want to pursue then go for it. Give it everything that you have.  Most of all, “Have fun doing what you love”.

Please tell us why you purchase through

I am a loyal customer because they offer everything that I need.  The website has so much information besides supplies.  The customer service has always been impeccable and the quality of the oils is second to none.  By the way, I was not paid to make this glowing endorsement.
